I am a research and data scientist with a strong software engineering background. I am currently at Siemens Schweiz AG. Prior to that, I was a research and teaching associate at TU Dresden and TU Darmstadt. I was also a visiting scholar at Carnegie Mellon University and ETH Zurich. I completed my doctoral (Dr.-Ing.) studies in August 2016 with ‘summa cum laude’.
I am an active member of the ubiquitous computing research community. I actively serve as a technical program committee member and reviewer for conferences and journals such as UbiComp / IMWUT, INFOCOM, PMC, SMARTCOMP, PerCom, and many more.
I have 5+ years of experience in the analysis of large data sets and building corresponding models as well as using related tools and languages such as python, mysql, or matlab. Furthermore, I have 10+ years of experience in object-oriented programming (in particular Java) including designing and building large-scale enterprise and distributed systems. Lastly, I was teaching Android and Java programming for five years to both bachelor and master students.
